Mama Bear Childcare is an Ofsted registered early years home from home childcare provision based at the home of Marie and her children.

The provision is located in the conservation village of Salhouse and has good links with Salhouse C of E Primary School & Fledglings Nursery.

We are a non-smoking household.

The childminding service is available between the hours of 8am - 5pm Tuesday - Thursday.

​

The setting is able to provide care for children aged from 9 months – 3 years.

​

In the setting Marie delivers the early years foundation framework to all under 5's. Marie offers an ‘Invitation to Play’ setting which allows children to direct their own play by offering open-ended, meaningful resources to explore. Marie sets up lots of little areas with different resources for the children to discover and play with. It maybe as simple as a setting with a wooden stacking rainbow and matching coloured cloths with a few wooden animals, or building blocks along with unusual objects for investigation, this sparks their imagination and they come to the toys with fresh eyes and new ideas for play. Toys and resources are rotated regularly to allow the children to experience new ideas and appreciate what's on offer over and over again, just like when getting new toys!

As well as a large range of wooden resources (these are a firm favourite) Marie has many other toys, games & activities on offer; role play, dolls, 6 month plus baby suitable toys, train set, dolls house, play kitchen, books, crafts, and outside there is a wooden playhouse with wooden kitchen, ride on toys, games, sand & water table, wooden mud kitchen, swing, slide, messy play tray and our fury friends Spike & Milo the Cats and Percy the Hamster.

The setting accepts payment via Government Tax Free Childcare, Government funding for 9month & 2year (term time only, 9am-3pm)

​We DO NOT providing 3-4 funding spaces.

​4 hours (2 x2 hour) of free settling in sessions.

Daily Care:
£50.00 for 9 hours. 8am - 5pm.

15 hour government funding available for 9month+

15 hour government funding available for 2 year olds

15/30 hours government funding is NOT available for 3 - 4 year olds. 

Funding is during school hours only 8am -5pm, subject to availability, £5.50 per hour for before and after funding hours.

Day rate include snacks and drinks only, Mama Bear Childcare does not provide main meals, nappies, wipes suntan lotion, Calpol or clothing.
